Madiba Académie Golf
The Club Med Foundation created the Golf Sports School in 2019, in partnership with the non-profit organisation ‘Madiba Académie’, known for its golf expertise and positive influence on the young people of the Ziguinchor region in Casamance. Thirty children, 50% girls, come to practice at the Cap Skirring golf course twice a week. They are trained by the golf instructors from Madiba Académie Golf. The funds raised will be used to support the children and purchase new sporting equipment.
About Madiba Académie Golf
Created in 2018, ‘Madiba Académie Golf’ is a non-profit organisation aimed at teaching golf to the region’s children and promoting equality and the ‘Studies and Sport’ concept. Its goal is to help children from vulnerable families to thrive through a sporting activity that’s also fun and educational, or even to build a career around golf. ‘Madiba Académie Golf’ is currently carrying out multiple different initiatives which include, as well as golf, an educational support programme and IT lessons.
With the Foundation and its Friends
The funds raised are used to pay for new sporting equipment for the children and to set up a quality support programme to prepare them for the selection process to represent Senegal in the Youth Olympic Games, taking place in Senegal in 2026.
